This past weekend’s Saltwater Challenge RC Laser Regatta hosted by the Coastal Bend Model Yacht Club on the Corpus Christi Seawall was a fantastic success.  Please read about it here at: Coastal Bend Model Yacht Club | Facebook       Not a harsh word all weekend, just good clean fun with some of the nicest RC Sailors in our Region.  Our fearless commodore Mike Causey, who was on a business trip, would have shone with delight at the comradery and happiness exhibited by all.

It was a pleasure to see Mike Gale again at this weekend’s event.  Mike is the Coastal Bend Model Yacht Club treasurer and one of our greatest supporters.  We mightily appreciate his daughter Anne for bringing him out to oversee the regatta! 

NEXT CLUB SAILOUT:
Saturday, March 19^th from 12-3pm is our next scheduled club sail out.  This is about the local guys getting together and sailing.  No organized racing just us having fun.  Bring your RC Lasers, DF95’s and/or any other boat you are fond of, and we will have a fun afternoon playing with our toys.  I will bring a chase boat, buoys, and a boat monkey to help anyone with anything needed.  Just plan to show up and play!   We will meet at our regular sailing location on the Corpus Christi Sea Wall, at the North end of Water’s Edge Park,  60 S Shoreline Blvd Corpus Christi, TX 78401. This location offers great wind direction, clear waterways, few distractions, and fantastic free parking.  Come on out and bring a friend!
