Another excellent day on the water in fabulous downtown Corpus Christi.
We had three RC Lasers on the water, and while the turnout was small, the conditions were just about perfect. The wind settled right into steady C-rig conditions — ideal for the Lasers — and it held consistently through the afternoon. With the breeze running perpendicular to the wall, we had a clean course straight out toward the bay and back, which made for some great racing.
This new sailing location continues to impress. Parking and unloading couldn’t be easier — we were able to back right up to the water and have our boats in within just a few steps. Water levels were high enough to deploy the dock cover, which worked perfectly to protect the inflatable chase boat.
The weather cooperated as well — overcast skies and comfortable temperatures made for an extremely enjoyable afternoon on the water.
After a bit of warm-up sailing, we got organized and ran 14 races. Results were recorded, and this will count as our second series race for Spring 2026.
Our next sail out is scheduled for Saturday, May 9th (second Saturday), from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. We’re planning to step up the advertising and bring in a crowd to really showcase this venue. Might even have to fire up the BBQ.
