I’m sure everyone has been keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Arthur as it developed and then swept away to the north. The good news is that it’s long gone, and Saturday’s forecast looks fantastic—southeast winds of 10–20 mph and a high temperature of 88°F. Perfect sailing weather!
I’ll be bringing my pop-up tent for some much-needed shade, and everyone is welcome to bring theirs as well. Just remember to bring a few 5-gallon buckets to help secure your canopy if the breeze picks up.
Whether you’re a seasoned skipper or just looking to get your boat on the water, come race around the buoys with us. We’ll have the speaker system set up, the countdown timer running, and the drinks cold.
And for those who were planning to sail in the Region 5 Championship in San Antonio before Mother Nature had other ideas, here’s your chance to get some racing out of your system! One of the great things about our venue is that we’re not dependent on muddy shorelines or soggy parks—our waterfront location lets us sail when many other venues cannot.
Bring your boat, bring a friend, and come enjoy an afternoon of great racing, good company, and some of the best sailing conditions the Coastal Bend has to offer.
