After having to cancel last month’s event because of weather, we are excited to get back on the water this Saturday, July 18th, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM for what looks like it could be another beautiful Coastal Bend sailing day!
We will be meeting at the L-Head facing out toward the main channel (see the included map photo for location).

Several sailors have already let us know they are coming, so this has the potential to be one of our largest turnouts of the year!
William and I will arrive early to get everything ready — including the buoys, dock, chase boat, and countdown speaker. We plan to set up the nicer race buoys to create a proper race course so everyone can enjoy some fun, competitive, and well-organized sailing.
One of the best parts about this location is the convenience. There is plenty of room, and we can back our vehicles right down to the breakwater where we will be sailing. It really doesn’t get much easier or more convenient than this!
Feel free to bring a pop-up tent and lawn chairs if you would like to relax between races and enjoy the afternoon with fellow sailors.
Since we currently don’t have anything scheduled beyond July, this will also be a great opportunity to share your ideas and thoughts for future sailing events, locations, and schedules.
Visitors, guests, and anyone interested in learning more about radio-controlled sailing are always welcome to attend. Come out, see what we do, meet some great people, and enjoy an afternoon on the water!
I hope everyone is as excited to attend and reconnect with our sailing friends as I am. This should be a fantastic event — we look forward to seeing everyone on the water!
