It’s hard to believe, but we’re officially here. After months of planning, preparation, and anticipation, Friday Practice / Check-In / Inspection Day has arrived!

Bring your boats, get checked in, go through inspection, tune up, and get some practice runs in before the championship racing begins.
Weather Update – A True Saltwater Challenge Weekend
The forecast has shifted considerably, with a Norther expected to pass early Saturday morning. That means we’re lining up for some classic Corpus Christi conditions!
Saturday:
• A shower or two possible early, 30% chance
• Areas of dense fog early
• Partly cloudy in the afternoon
• High around 80°F
• NNE winds 8 mph morning, building to 19 by 5pm
Sunday:
• Sunny skies
• High temp near 68°F
• NE winds 15–25 mph
• 0% chance of rain
It’s shaping up to be a brisk, tactical, championship-style weekend. Be ready for anything!
FINAL BEHIND THE SCENES UPDATE:
It’s now past midnight, and the regatta crew is still gathering materials and double-checking details to make sure this is a first-class event.
While loading vehicles this afternoon, I spotted an aluminum pipe and a broken boat hook previously set aside for disposal. I grabbed them along with a few spare odds and ends — and about 20 minutes later we had two additional RC Laser boat retrieval poles ready for the weekend.
That’s how we operate.
